The Art of Cooking

Given this month’s theme on health, I was approached by Team Elysium to write a blog post on my latest experiences regarding cooking. I want to preface this blog post by emphasizing that I am not a chef, and I am by no means an expert when it comes to cooking. Furthermore, I am not a dietician nor a nutritionist. I am simply a faggot who wishes to enhance my skills and abilities to cook.

As I reflect upon the duties and chores that fall upon Alphas versus faggots when it comes to an Alpha/faggot dynamic. Often, Alphas are associated with performing chores our society deems as being “masculine” such as taking out the trash or fixing things around the house whereas faggots are often associated with performing duties that society labels as more “feminine” including cleaning. Regardless of your views on this topic, and a most controversial one it is, I would argue that the art of cooking is neither masculine nor feminine, and thus, is an activity that both Alphas and faggots can improve upon and engage in to benefit their health and as a creative outlet.

Recently, I have begun a journey where I am striving to eat healthier and make better choices when it comes to nutrition. Part of this journey has been weekly virtual cooking sessions with an Alpha. Each week, we take turns finding the recipe for a dish we wish to make, then we go shopping for the ingredients, and then we spend time together virtually preparing the dish. From my perspective, cooking is a way to enhance my abilities to cook and hone my skills as a way of serving Alphas. From an Alpha’s perspective, He is gifting His time and energy to help me become a better cook. Cooking serves as a creative outlet for both the Alpha and faggot, a mutual commitment to making better food choices when it comes to preparing a dish or meal prepping, and a bonding experience that can be very fulfilling for an Alpha and faggot to share together.

In reflection of these weekly virtual cooking sessions, there are three main emotions I have felt as a faggot: confidence, servitude, and fulfillment. Firstly, every time we prepare a dish together, I am becoming more confident in my culinary skills whether it is knife work related to preparing ingredients or tasting and adjusting a dish whilst cooking. I am becoming more confident as a faggot, motivated and inspired to try new things, unafraid if I might fail knowing that I could always try a dish again and learn from my mistakes. Secondly, while both Alphas and faggots can participate in the art and joy that is cooking, when a faggot prepares a dish for an Alpha, it is an act of servitude, obedience, and commitment to that Alpha. This contrasts with when an Alpha prepares a dish for Himself and a faggot; when an Alpha cooks, this is a creative outlet for the Alpha and potentially, a gift for a faggot to enjoy. Finally, this non-sexual bonding experience can be incredibly fulfilling for Alphas and faggots to share. In that sense, perhaps the art of cooking is more like sex than we think. We are using our bodies to mold ingredients into something beautiful, using our bodies and putting in effort to create something to nurture our bodies and souls.
